Submission Deadline Early 2025
The CCAA Chamber Professional of the Year Award recognizes the exemplary performance and leadership of an Alabama chamber executive with their local chamber. The award recognizes the long-term professional career achievements of the candidate.
Criteria to be evaluated includes experience, training and education, service to Alabama Chambers and other professional organizations, service to chamber colleagues, ethical conduct in dealing with others, a highly developed sense of professionalism, leadership and an abiding desire to advance the profession of chamber management.
Non-professional criteria to be evaluated can include: non-chamber related community participation, civic participation, religious/charitable/educational related activities, etc.
Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged.
An out-of-state review panel of chamber executives will serve as the review panel and selection committee.

The Chamber Professional of the Year Award will be presented at the Executive Leadership Conference Awards Dinner "Alabama Chambers Night of Champions" presented by Alabama Municipal Electric Authority.
2024 Professional of the Year
Nan Baldwin, IOM, was recognized as the 2024 Alabama Chamber Professional of the Year. Baldwin serves as Vice President, Chamber Operations for the Birmingham Business Alliance and has served the chamber and economic development professions for over 20 years. "Nan Baldwin is indeed worthy of this honor. She has worked in the chamber industry since 2009 and in the Economic Development industry since 2003. She has demonstrated professionalism and exemplary leadership to the Birmingham community and the Birmingham Business Alliance as the VP-Regional Development and currently as the VP-Chamber Operations. She is passionate about her work, and she possesses a continuing desire to advance the chamber profession and industry, "state her nominator. The Alabama Chamber Professional of the Year has been awarded since 2015 and recognizes the professional career achievements of the recipient.
