U. S. Chamber of Commerce appoints Jeremy L. Arthur to Committee of 100

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently announced the appointment of Jeremy L. Arthur, president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, to its U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC100).

The Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC100) is an elite group of chamber executives that represents the perspectives and needs of chambers and their members to the U.S. Chamber.

Membership in the CCC1000 is comprised of the country’s leading chamber of commerce chief staff executives.  These experienced leaders provide advice to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, enhance chamber lobbying and coalition work, recommend programming, and strengthen outreach to the business and chamber community. The group includes a diverse combination of men and women throughout the United States representing chambers of all sizes.

“As a member of the Committee of 100, I’d like to be one of the first to welcome Jeremy Arthur to this important committee of high-profile leaders,” said William J. Canary, president and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama and member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100. “Through the historic agreement known as The Partnership, which combined the more than 120 local chambers of commerce across Alabama with the efforts of the BCA in the halls of government, Jeremy and I have been working hard to promote free enterprise in Alabama and now look forward to doing that with the U.S. Chamber.”

CCC100 members regularly discuss leadership, policy, and best practices identifying emerging issues that will impact chambers and their members.  In addition, CCC100 members advise the U.S. Chamber on programs and services for chambers and provide feedback on policy-related issues.

“I am honored to join such a distinguished group of leaders from across the country.  I look forward to working with these fine men and women seeking solutions to advance free enterprise,” Arthur said.

Arthur previously served as president of the Prattville (AL) Area Chamber of Commerce.  He joined the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama as president and CEO last year.  In addition, Arthur served as Chairman, Southeast Board of Regents, Institute for Organization Management, U. S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for 2013.  Arthur also currently serves as a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Institute for Organization Management, Board of Trustees, as well as its Curriculum Committee.
