Prattville Chamber Board names Patty VanderWal new President
The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Patty VanderWal has been named President of the Chamber, effective immediately. Mrs. VanderWal was unanimously approved as the new President at the March 12 Board of Directors meeting.
“I am excited and honored to serve as the new President of the Prattville Chamber,” said Mrs. VanderWal. “The Chamber’s work is vital to our business community and I look forward to working with the Chamber’s board, volunteers, and staff to continue positioning the Chamber as a business and community resource. I will continue to work to elevate the Chamber in the community and to build stronger ties for the organization’s members, city/county governments and the residents of Prattville and Autauga County.”
As the Chamber’s President, Mrs. VanderWal will oversee the staff and work closely with the Board of Directors.

Patty is an advocate for business and community development. We look forward to working with her and strengthening our Chamber’s relationship with the community it serves.”
Mrs. VanderWal, who has been with the Prattville Chamber for six years, served as Executive Vice President/Financial Director for the past year. She has also served as Finance Director/Office Manager and Interim President.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Mrs. VanderWal was owner of a successful small business in Prattville from 2000 until 2008. She served on the Prattville Chamber Board and the Executive Committee from 2005 until 2008. She also served as a volunteer at the Chamber and was named Ambassador of the Year.
A native of Prattville, Mrs. VanderWal is actively involved in the community serving as Secretary of the Leadership Autauga County Board of Directors; a member of the Advisory Board of the Autauga Area Community Foundation; a board member of PASS (Peers Are Staying Straight); and a board member of the Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition. She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Autauga County.
A graduate of Auburn University in Montgomery with a degree in Business Administration (BSBA in Accounting), Mrs. VanderWal is a Certified Public Accountant. She and her husband, Tom, have two daughters, Kristen and Kimberly.
Celebrating its 40th year, the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce was organized for the purpose of advancing the commercial, industrial, civic and general interest of Prattville and Autauga County and it has played an integral role in promoting businesses and the community.
