Director of Tourism
The Selma-Dallas County Chamber and Tourism Board of Directors seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Tourism Director. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, having a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional discipline and/or five years experience in a business related field or other leadership position.
Applicants must currently live, or be willing to move to Selma- Dallas County. Candidates must also be able to present a professional and positive image at all times; be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form; be able to work independently without close supervision; formulate and implement presentations to small and large groups; work collaboratively and positively with others of diverse backgrounds, opinions and needs; be computer literate and able to participate in trade shows, job fairs, travel showcases and represent the greater Selma area in a positive and productive manner.
Must also be available to work non-standard hours on assigned projects of importance to the people of Selma-Dallas County.
This is a full-time position, reporting to the board of directors of the Selma- Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. Compensation is commensurate on qualifications and experience, includes a fully paid health insurance plan and paid vacation.
