Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) is now accepting applications for it’s Chamber President/Executive Directorposition.

The Chamber President shall be responsible for the administration of all day to day operations of the Chamber, serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors, and serve as The Chamber’s representative to the public, private, and governmental agencies within the community.


(Include but are not limited to the following)

Administration of Day-to-Day Activities

Manage Chamber membership programs for corporate and private participants
Maintain current members and solicit new members from the business community
Organize and set daily tasks and goals for office personnel
Work to develop new programs to help grow the Chamber
Maintain and safeguard Chamber’s financials and bookkeeping records

Serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors

Serve as the primary staff point of contact for all officers, Executive Committee, Board of Directors and members
Coordinate all scheduled meetings of the Chamber Board and Chamber Committees by providing agenda’s and keeping minutes
Give leadership in the formulation of policies, programs, and objectives by acting as a consultant to the Chairman of the Board and Board of Directors
Assist in all additional assignments as directed by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors

Community Representative

Work cohesively with all business, community, and government leaders to promote and advance the Chamber and it’s objectives
Facilitate and Coordinate all fundraiser and networking events
Recruit, develop, and motivate volunteers
Make public addresses to various organizations and civic groups around the community regarding Chamber events, promotions, and goals.



Bachelors of Science Degree
Professional communication skills, oral and written
Working knowledge of QuickBooks software or equivalent
Proficient in informational technology skills, including Microsoft Office and publishing applications
Prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling skills preferred
Highly organized and detail oriented
Knowledge and skilled in social media platforms
Comfortable speaking publicly to large groups
Experience is appreciated and will be factored when considering applicants
